Constanze Kponton – Founder and Designer of strawberry & cream
Behind strawberry & cream is Constanze Kponton, who founded the company in 2004 and built it into an independent jewelry brand without any external investors.
With a degree in media management, she combines entrepreneurial thinking with her passion for design, high-quality materials, and one-of-a-kind jewelry. From the very beginning, it was important to her that the components of her jewelry be manufactured exclusively in German workshops, despite increasing globalization.
With her Munich studio and the boutique that opened in 2011, Constanze Kponton realized her vision of a jewelry company that combines personal service, custom design, high-quality materials, and traditional craftsmanship.
Her mission remains the same to this day: to design jewelry that is not only beautiful for a moment, but also tells a personal story and accompanies people for many years to come.
Handcrafted in Germany—from concept to one-of-a-kind piece
For strawberry & cream, “Made in Germany” means more than just a promise of origin.
The individual components of the jewelry are crafted in German workshops, some of which
strawberry & cream has been working with for many years. Many steps in the process are carried out using traditional handcrafted methods: Each bead is drilled by hand, and letter beads and pendants are individually hand-cast, finished, and polished.
In strawberry & cream’s Munich studio, each piece of jewelry is then given its own unique character. Here, the pieces are finished, personalized, and engraved. Before shipping, every single piece is carefully inspected.
Through these many individual steps, a personalized piece of jewelry is created that meets strawberry & cream’s standards for quality, craftsmanship, and durability.
18-karat Gold, Diamonds & Sterling Silver
Only high-quality precious metals are used in strawberry & cream jewelry.
The collections feature 750 gold (18-karat gold), rose gold, white gold, and high-quality sterling silver. Depending on the piece, diamonds are incorporated into select designs.
The decision to use high-quality materials is a conscious one: personalized jewelry should not only commemorate a special moment but also accompany its wearer for as many years as possible—and ideally across generations.

Sustainability has been an integral part of strawberry & cream’s corporate philosophy since the company was founded in 2004.
The jewelry pieces are custom-made only after an order is placed. As a result, strawberry & cream does not produce items for stock, but rather creates exactly the pieces that have actually been requested and ordered.
The precious metals used come from the recycling cycle of German refineries. Even gold and silver scraps generated during production are collected, returned to the precious metal cycle, and melted down to create new pieces of jewelry.
This approach to production combines two elements that, for strawberry & cream, go hand in hand: high-quality craftsmanship and the responsible use of valuable resources.
